NONNOTTE / Draping Shirt Type A

This collection features two variations of the classic, traditional herringbone weave.

The material I'm introducing this time is an original weave I developed called loose herringbone.

I loosened the herringbone weave by hand and scattered it vaguely to recreate my ideal balance through weaving.

Although it's called loose, it's not an easy weave.

The tightly woven density creates a drape thanks to the worsted yarn.

This material, which is neither soft nor stiff, has a new touch and, combined with its unique appearance, it is neither old-fashioned nor understatedly modern, and I felt that this material was the epitome of formal wear of the future.

It looks almost like python, and on closer inspection, you can see the swaying herringbone.

The warp and weft yarns are of different thicknesses, pre-dyed in four colors, and made from 100% worsted wool, giving the surface an even more complex look.

The colors, which express nonnotte's original marbling in the weave, are very appealing.

We used beautiful worsted wool and aimed to create a material that can be worn in all four seasons.

The style is a draping shirt, which is available every season with heavy broadcloth, and allows you to enjoy the three-dimensional form created by the cut.

The worsted wool used this time has a draping silhouette that is the complete opposite of heavy broadcloth, creating a new silhouette.

The Draping Shirt Type A, which was also featured in SS25,

is a signature style created with three-dimensional cutting (draping), and we've named it Draping. We plan to release each type each season.

This long-sleeved shirt, named the Draping Shirt Type A, deviates significantly from the traditional men's shirt in its interpretation of the armhole.

Its main feature is a reinterpretation for the modern man of the spirit of the early 1900s, when women's couturiers researched forms to create designs that would flatter the female body in a three-dimensional way.

Clothes from that era were designed so three-dimensionally that the garment itself was virtually invisible when worn.

The shoulders are dropped, but the shoulder line wraps around from the back, and this volume is inspired by a cocoon-like, egg-shaped silhouette, with the armhole cut in a complex shape.

When the sleeves are lowered, directional draping appears, flattering the body and creating a new form.

The side seam connecting the front and back bodice is angled forward, and the oversized portion is bent at a right angle from that position, creating a flattering shape to the body.We hope you enjoy the different looks from the front, side, and back styles, all in 360 degrees.
