ANCELLM / #05 Aging Type-D (Indigo)

The #05 is shaped with a generous volume through the body, falling cleanly and naturally toward the hem.
Though bold in its width, it settles with a quiet balance when worn—forming a silhouette with depth and a certain calm presence.
Each piece is worked on by hand, one by one, by skilled artisans.
Even the smallest traces of damage are carefully adjusted, seeking a subtle harmony throughout.
On a base tone that has been gently faded, layers of color—light, mid, and deep—are added through an original blend, allowing a nuanced expression to emerge.
This process gives rise to the mood that has come to define ANCELLM.
For this Type-D, we explored a stronger contrast in both tone and surface.
By introducing a new approach to fading, the texture of the denim is brought forward—the grain standing out with a raw, tactile clarity.
Stains and damage are given a sense of weight, quietly emphasized through controlled coloration, resulting in a piece that carries a different kind of presence—rooted in the ongoing research behind each creation.
It is a denim shaped through many processes and careful adjustments, often requiring long hours in the workshop to complete.
