NONNOTTE / Dormeuse Shirt (Trace Bird Plaid)

This material is a nonnotte original shadow jacquard weave, luxuriously using Super 140's worsted wool, suitable for year-round wear.

The yarn is pre-dyed in multiple colors and carefully dyed in different shades, and woven without sparing any time or effort.

Shadow jacquard weaving is a technique that incorporates color, weave structure, and even light reflection into the design, so that at first glance it looks like a solid color, but the pattern emerges depending on the movement and angle of the light.

A pattern that is not too assertive, yet definitely present. We value the depth of its appearance.

This material is being used for the third season.
This time, we have used an original check pattern as a base and overlaid a motif of birds in flight on top of it.

The pattern was born from the image of what if the birds in the houndstooth pattern were alive and could fly freely from above the textile.

The way the motifs are scattered is done with a sense of classicity in mind, and there is regularity in the arrangement that at first glance seems unbalanced.

Not too neat, not too messy. We aimed for a tension in between.

The check pattern isn't a stark color scheme, but rather composed of colors with similar tones.

From a distance, it looks almost solid, but depending on how the light hits it and how you move, the pattern slowly emerges from within.

The design doesn't rely on color to show the check pattern, but rather on shadows and reflections to create the impression of a check.

By creating subtle differences within the gray gradations, it achieves a sense of depth without being overly assertive.

The pattern doesn't stand out too much, so it doesn't interfere with the overall styling, yet it leaves a lasting impression. It's

a check pattern that you only notice when you get closer.

We felt that this sense of distance was just right for this material.

I believe this is a new expression of checks, constructed with an approach that hasn't been seen much before. It
's a very costly material, but there was a reason why we absolutely wanted to bring

it to life. I myself regularly wear shadow jacquard trousers, and just having one pair, even paired with a plain T-shirt, brings a natural elegance to the entire outfit. It

's not flashy, yet it leaves a lasting impression. We wanted you to experience that power and uplifting feeling, which is why we embarked on this development.

・Dormeuse Shirt

This shirt was designed with the image of being worn as if you were leaning your body into it.

Dormeuse is a French word that refers to a posture or existence that is entrusted to oneself for rest.

It literally translates to "sleeping woman," but at the same time it refers to a shape that allows you to lean your body and relax, like a chaise lounge.

With this shirt, we aimed for a form that does not cause tension and allows the body to naturally entrust itself to the fabric, and that is why we named it this.

While there is ample volume, it is not simply a loose silhouette, but is designed so that it settles naturally through draping.

It is a three-dimensional structure in which the fabric moves away from the body, but always balances out somewhere. It has flowing lines from the shoulder to the sleeve, and drapes appear as you move.

It does not look stiff even when still, and it is a shirt whose expression changes depending on the wearer's movements.

There is empty space in the body, but by controlling the direction of the surface and how it drapes, it does not look heavy.

From the front it looks calm, and from the side a soft volume appears.

It is not a shirt that you have to be careful about, but a shirt that is an extension of relaxation.
Yet, we aimed for a balance that retains a sense of elegance in its appearance.

It works well on its own or as a light jacket, and is something you'll naturally reach for in your daily life. It's easy
to wear without feeling stressed, and it maintains a refined presence.

This piece embodies the quiet relaxation that is characteristic of nonnotte.
