DescriptionThis material was the starting point for this season. I developed an original worsted fancy yarn. Most tweeds in the world are woven with thick, woolen yarns. A good example is Harris Tweed, a woolen yarn. I personally don't like the feel of woolen tweed, and its overly classic appearance can make it seem a bit old-fashioned depending on how I style it. A famous tweed that contrasts this is Chanel tweed. While Chanel tweed has a beautiful texture and I'm drawn to the characteristics of the material and the intricate surface, I find it too feminine for me to wear. It's also quite expensive, making it difficult to afford. I feel that the fact that Chanel's fancy yarns are made from acrylic and synthetic fibers also contributes to their distinctive femininity. I've always admired the formal tweed of the early 1950s, and every season I search for high-quality tweed. However, I couldn't find anything. Then, I met a weaver who offered to create my own original tweed from the yarn. Being able to create it from scratch meant I insisted on using 100% worsted wool as the raw material. Worsted wool is less likely to pill and can be worn for four seasons, so we use it every season at nonnotte. I'd never seen worsted tweed before, so I was very excited. I had them spin my own original marbled gray, and from that I created five different fancy yarns. I wove all five of my ideal yarns, including fringe yarn, knotted yarn, and round-bodied tubular yarn, into this tweed. By using a single color for all five yarns, I was able to create a tweed with depth and expression within the plain fabric. I was so moved when I saw the finished material, and was so happy that this tweed, a material I had dreamed of wearing, had finally taken shape, that I named it N Tweed, taking the initial N from nonnotte. I believe this tweed will breathe new life into the closets of many people. The design was created with the aim of creating a casual shirt jacket that can be worn like a coverall. All decorative elements have been eliminated, and the product focuses on functionality and texture, evoking the image of a modern Chanel suit.
