The Super 120’s Air Inlay Melton material is the same Super 120’s felted inlay melton that we used in the 24AW and 25AW collections. The starting point was the idea of something "more than sweatpants, but less than slacks." The biggest challenge was that it would lose its crispness. We searched for the optimal balance of thickness and resilience by repeatedly testing the yarn count design and the felting method. As a result of repeated prototyping and adjustments, we were able to achieve a lightness that is unimaginable from its appearance while still retaining its crispness. An element that we continue to value in this series is color design. Our theme is always to create a new heathered look that does not feel like déjà vu. This time, we have created a heathered look with depth through the color scheme and knit design. We aim for a calm and deep appearance that naturally blends into classic formal styling. This season's colors are available in two options: Black x Charcoal TOP, and Oatmeal x Light Gray TOP.
Oatmeal x Light Gray TOP. In both cases, the way the top yarns are blended creates shading on the surface, resulting in a texture that is not flat. As mentioned earlier, the concept of this material is "more than sweatpants, less than slacks." It aims for a middle ground that is neither too casual nor too formal. It has the slight stretch characteristic of jersey material, and is lighter and softer than woven Melton wool. Yet, it has a substantial feel, so the silhouette when draped is very beautiful. It is airy, has a nice texture, and combines drape, lightness, and elegance. I believe that this finished product very well embodies the concept of this material.
Elastic In-Tuck Wide Tapered Trousers These wide tapered trousers feature an elastic waistband with a drawstring on the inside for easy wear. The silhouette is based on a wide straight cut, but tapers slightly towards the hem. The aim was to create a balance that provides ample volume while maintaining a beautiful finish. We believe that with voluminous trousers, "how to fit" is more important than "how to spread out." In this style, the rise is deep and there is ample room in the thighs, while the overall center of gravity is designed not to be too low. When worn, the silhouette does not directly follow the lines of the body from the hips to the thighs, but rather covers the body with a surface. The design is such that the body is contained within a three-dimensional form, rather than emphasizing the lines. The waistband is elastic, but the amount and gathering are adjusted so that it does not look overly casual from the outside. The size can be adjusted with the inner drawstring, and a stable fit can be achieved without relying on a belt. It is not too restrictive and easy to move in, yet it has a proper volume and a refined look. This design aims to achieve both. I believe that luxury resides not in rigidity, but in a sense of ample volume and comfort. These trousers embody that philosophy. I hope you will enjoy the richness created by the amount of fabric and the beautiful fit when you wear them.
